I was 4 minutes in and then it dawned on me. who bloody cares? To me Star wars has become a movie franchise where you keep hoping they recapture the magic of the original 3, yet with each installment they chop something away from it. Also this ridiculous focus on Leia. no disrespect, but Han Solo, Luke, Chewie and even the bloody androids were more important to the story. and they completely destroyed their you know Disney, they want to make a princess movie whenever they can. Star wars: episode ix - the rise of skywalker dvd release date. Walking out of the theater after seeing "The Rise of Skywalker" I was almost giddy with happiness. J.J. Abrams had brought Star Wars back after the failure of "The Last Jedi" After a week of letting the film percolate in my mind a bit and reading some other thoughts/reviews, the film has settled downward a bit. It is so supremely entertaining that I would never give it a lower rating than 8/10 stars, but at the same time it is so jam-packed with things to accomplish that there just isn't time to let all the material play out as it should. That, more than any specific writing/character decision, is why I have to drop it down a few stars from the "solid 10" I gave it as the credits rolled.
For a very basic overview, The Rise of Skywalker" sees the return of an old, thought to be long-dead antagonist in the form of the Sith Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid. After first being visited by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) eventually the heroes of the new trilogy- Rey (Daisey Ridley) Finn (John Boyega) Poe (Oscar Isaac) pick up the scent and must try to snuff out this new threat that could represent the end of the Resistance.
Plot-wise, there is very little I disagreed with in this film. It's a rousing adventure, to be sure, and a fitting end to the nine-movie saga. I especially enjoyed the cultivation of the notion that one's bloodline does not represent who they are in the Star Wars universe anymore, and that's a concept I really like (especially how it mirrors the end of the overall saga. When Rey disavows her Palpatine heritage and declares herself a Skywalker of her own accord, that seems to be the moment the entire third trilogy was building toward.
That being said, once the initial excitement of the theater experience wore off, I found there to be some issues with the way certain points were handled. A few examples:
-The Palpatine character was and simple. What could have been an epic tease falls a little flat in the execution, especially when he is introduced in the opening crawl rather than at some point later on where his presence could truly be appreciated.
-Besides the beginning and the end of the picture, Driver's Ren is only a bit player in the proceedings. One could argue him being the most unique character to come from this entire trilogy, so it was a bit odd to see him cast aside for much of its conclusion.
-Rey's final confrontation with the Emperor even feels a bit underdone in execution. How epic would it have been to have seen some Force-ghosts of, say, Annakin, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gonn, or Yoda instead of just hearing their voices? The same could even be said for Palpatine's Sith background. Nothing wrong with the overall concept, but that moment could have been so much more.
Of course, it certainly doesn't help that this film spends a good deal of its time course-correcting after the embarrassment that was "The Last Jedi. That second film of this trilogy may have had some interesting ideas, to be sure, but director Rian Johnson had absolutely no idea how to execute them. Because of this, much of the pleasure here is seeing how they subtly (or sometimes not-so-subtly) get the franchise back to more traditional Star Wars fare (the approach I tend to enjoy in these films. When ghost-Luke tells Rey "that is no way to treat a Jedi weapon" I almost stood and applauded. Unfortunately, it just isn't good practice in any trilogy to have such wild swings in tone. I truly feel like having one director (JJ or otherwise) all the way through would have been a much better choice.
So, I guess my final word (at least at the moment) on "Rise of Skywalker" is this: it absolutely thrilled me as I sat in my theater seat, so that counts for something. The action/adventure was thrilling, the character/plot decisions were fine, and I very much enjoyed the overall message trying to be conveyed. At the same time, it was burdened by the weight of it's predecessor, the weight of trying to put an amen to the most culturally-known film franchise perhaps of all-time, and the weight of a fast-tracked production schedule. Oh yeah, and the legacy character (Princess Leia) they originally wanted to build the whole thing around? Sadly, Carrie Fisher passed before that could become a reality. In hindsight, I wonder if delaying this film by, say, a year would have produced a slightly better result?
Through all this, I settled on 8 stars because I gave 9 to "The Force Awakens" and still consider that one the best of the contemporary trilogy. "Rise" thanks to Abrams) captures much of that film's energy, but it isn't as free to pursue it in the most open, creative way possible. In terms of trilogy-enders, Rise" is a bit behind "Return of the Jedi" and "Revenge of the Sith.

"Some things in there were later confirmed by MSW" That would be Palpatine back (confirmed by trailer, not MSW), Smith being possessed by Palpatine, and Rey and Kylo teaming up to fight him, right? I know the KOR returning to Kylo with big information of a possible threat to him comes from a MSW report 13 days before this 4chan post. MSW said their source insisted Smith is not a KOR but another dark side acolyte (Acolyte of The Beyond? ). It would be interesting if he was a KOR so his character was there the whole time, though I personally think it would be better if he isn't fully "possessed" till they get to the DS2 wreckage in that case. I would like to see a ritual performed by Kylo to supposedly defeat Palp's spirit but it is actually meant to "resurrect" him. I don't really buy the Snoke part unless they do some big retcon (based on his inner monologue in the TLJ novel as he thinks of Palpatine as a separate person and boasts that he has the knowledge Palpatine was searching for). If it is true, then maybe he wasn't aware he was possessed by Palpatine and Palps was just hitching a ride and subtly controlling him. But then why wouldn't Snoke/Palpatine utilize the Sith fleet (just a contingency in an emergency? ) and why not declare that he is a Sith Lord? Why does he need to hide that he is Palpatine at all? Wouldn't people be more impressed if Palpatine revealed that he is resurrected in this new form?

Star wars: episode ix - the rise of skywalker reviews. Welcome back IMPRA PALPITN. I dont see how this movie could end what started in 1977,I heard rey is palpatines grand daughter(which makes less sense unless he put her inside a woman with the force like it happened with anakin🙄😑🤦‍♂️)she has to be a skywalker, otherwise why call the movie rise of skywalker, plus this new trilogy doesnt feel like a continuation of the skywalkers even though Han & the other classic characters appeared(it felt like their part were just cameos for nostalgia instead of a plot)I wont watch it on theaters but I will watch it for free on an app since I wont waste my money, these are facts.

I remember watching The Phantom Menace for the first time when I was 9 years old, I was so excited! Re watching it after a couple of years of course I realized that they are not among the best Star Wars movies but despite that, they also have a special place in my heart. Fight me. New Zealand Thriller, Horror Duration 96M Elijah Wood directed by Ant Timpson
Come to daddy 2019.
The movie looks great and it's technically well made but the characters don't have much depth to them and the plot isn't all too intriguing or meaningful, so it ends up just meandering along.
I beginning to think all these other reviews are fake and from the cast or friends of. This film is NOT COMEDY, it is NOT HORROR and it is not a THRILLER. This film is beyond meanlingless with absolute no purpose except to be another form of art. The dialogue is nothing special, the character building is nothing special, there was 0 laughs, there was 0 fear or anything really horror related - blood and death doesnt mean something is horror genre. And there was no thriller aspects, 1 single twist in the film and it happens in the first half of the film. Dont waste your time.

Come to daddy explained. Come to daddy ep. Hes amazing, but anyone noticed that he has a certain look and Tati always ends up looking like jlo.

Come to daddy aphex twin album. Come to Daddy After receiving a cryptic letter from his estranged father, Norval travels to his dad’s oceanfront home for what he hopes will be a positive experience. If only he’d known the dark truth about his old man beforehand. Come to daddy cast. Wow. I don't even know where to start. This movie was so crazy. You gotta see it to believe it.
I want Elijah Wood's haircut from this and I want to see every movie that Ant Timpson has been involved with.

Nešto sa vokalom ne štima. Kao da je refren u falšu. Stoja: Idi mami pa se žali Nataša:Dođi mami. A son goes to meet his father who he never saw since he was few years old. Now, a grown up addicted to alchool and trying to stay sober, he spends few days at his dad reclusive caban where, after his dad stranger and stranger behavior, he finds out he s not really his dad. His real dead is captive in the basement and a figt begins with his captors that want the money from a long time ago abduction that ended un with the dad not sharing the ransom and give the money to his separeted wife to raise his son.
I don t recomand it, it s got nothing but some slow paced scenes, a lot of wanting to be original, and so on.

In COME TO DADDY, an offbeat man named Norval Greenwood ( Elijah Wood) arrives in a remote seaside area, seeking a tucked-away house. He's gotten a letter from his estranged father inviting him to visit. A grizzled man ( Stephen McHattie) answers the door of the house, and the reunion doesn't quite go as expected. The two men's interactions are strained and threatening -- and then, while initiating a fight, the older man dies of a heart attack. Alone with the corpse, Norval drinks and talks to it and starts hearing noises. When he discovers a photo album showing pictures of his mother and father and then a secret passage leading to a hidden room, he realizes his troubles are just beginning. Is it any good? Exceedingly, ridiculously violent, this darkly comic thriller explores various codes of masculinity, but it also packs quite a few wild surprises into its outlandish story. Written by Toby Harvard and directed by Ant Timpson (based on a story by both), Come to Daddy begins with the odd image of Norval wearing ill-fitting, futuristic fashions and claiming to be "in the music business. " This sets him up as the opposite of an older generation of "manly man. " The old man responds by asking whether Norval has ever been in a fight. He hasn't, but his chance is coming. Without giving away any of the story's reveals, the conflict in Come to Daddy involves killing all the members of a gang of men in the name of doing the right thing and protecting Norval's mother (who's never seen). Most of the trouble comes when a particularly vile villain, Jethro ( Michael Smiley), who carries a flaming crossbow, gets away. Norval follows him, but he makes a stop to spend some time with a prostitute who strangles her paying customers. The only other woman in the cast is a kind coroner ( Madeleine Sami) whom Norval drunkenly calls and awkwardly propositions. In the end, secret bonds between families and between fathers and sons seem stronger than any gory violence. Talk to your kids about... Families can talk about Come to Daddy 's violence. Does the excessive brutality help convey the movie's point? Could it have been less violent? How are  sex and nudity depicted? What values are imparted by these images? How is drinking  portrayed? Is it glamorized? Are there consequences for excessive drinking? Why does that matter? Did the father character do the right thing in the way that he chose to help his son, even though it was the wrong thing in many other ways? What other choices could he have made? Our editors recommend Strong gore, language in bizarre but touching comic fantasy. Violent home-invasion dark comedy is smart, fast-paced. Fast-paced, gory, intense horror movie is way over the top. Ultraviolent satire is forgettable but fun for horror fans. Brutal, violent, intense dark satire about human hysteria. Slightly unsettling, but ultimately weird and wonderful. Druggy, vulgar high-concept comedy is short on laughs. Come to daddy aphex twin audio

I once said to a friend, “I pretty much always like movies with  Elijah Wood. He never picks bad projects because he doesn’t have to. ” I’m referring to the fact that he probably is more than comfortable with his LOTR earnings and is now one of the lucky few that can work on projects for artistic merit alone. Some people have this ability and still manage to be in some terrible movies, but Elijah Wood doesn’t. He has incredible taste, particularly when it comes to horror films. His turn in the remake of  Maniac  was wonderfully terrifying, and we can’t forget that his production company SpectreVision has released some wonderful films, including one of the best films of 2018,  Mandy. This go-round, in Ant Timpson’s  Come To Daddy, Wood is not necessarily the scary one, at least for most of the film. That honor is bestowed to Stephen McHattie as the titular “Daddy. ” It’s almost as if Donnie, Walter and The Dude from  The Big Lebowski  all lived in one body, and that person also happened to be even more insane than Walter. He drinks almost all day. He has an unspoken menacing quality. While Elijah Wood’s Norville is a solid reproduction of every stereotype made about millennial artists, he has a real gold limited edition phone made by Lorde (which, sadly, or maybe gladly… isn’t a real thing), he has a ridiculous black bowl cut and mustache, wears asymmetrical baggy clothing reminiscent of Ric Owen. He’s “big in the music business (read: not really at all)” He’s also 35 and lives at home with his mother in Beverly Hills. “ His attempts to impress his father go south every time. Until finally his father’s animosity towards him reaches a fever pitch…” Norville hadn’t seen his father in many years. Daddy had walked out on them, but prior to the start of  Come to Daddy, Norville receives a letter from him, telling him to come visit. His father lives in a beautiful house on a rocky beach that looks like “a UFO from the 1960’s” (it really does). Norville is nervous and tries to impress his dad, going so far as to stretch the truth quite a bit by saying he’s a close friend of Elton John’s. His attempts to impress his father go south every time. Until finally, his father’s animosity towards him reaches a fever pitch. From this point forward, all bets are off. It’s a crazy, hilarious, gross adventure with plenty of twists and turns and a lot of creative weaponry. Come To Daddy, while more of a horror/comedy hybrid, is my favorite horror offering of the year so far. It’s smart, uncompromising, inventive, and just downright hilarious. Ant Timpson based the story on some true events in his life, which I won’t get down to in this review as it will spoil the film for you. I will say that if you’re truly an independent film fan, you will be excited by a particular cameo performance towards the end. Just go out and see it as soon as you get a chance. It’s a most worthwhile viewing experience, and you’ll never look at a grilling fork the same way again. "…a crazy, hilarious, gross adventure with plenty of twists and turns... ".

Come to daddy meme. Tati: “You are my favorite GUEST” Scott: “No, we are FRIENDS “ Aww.

Two new videos from Paramount Pictures promoting A Quiet Place Part II has just surfaced, showcasing a recap of the previous film alongside a trailer with new and older footage. The trailer picks up with Emily Blunt ‘s character and her children Regan (Millicent Simmonds) and Marcus (Noah Jupe) traversing the silence, avoiding the sound-sensitive creatures that brought down society. As they’re hiding, they meet a new survivor played by Cillian Murphy, who tells them there’s nothing left before seeing a baby is traveling alongside the three. From there we see various action shots of them avoiding the monstrous creatures and to some sort of safe haven. Although John Krasinski is not starring in the sequel, he will return as writer and director of the film. He has left several easter eggs in the upcoming film to explain more about the original movie, ensuring the franchise will not become bogged down with a bunch of sequels. “I haven’t heard from the studio that they want a third one, ” he told Total Film. “But the good news is that the studio and I are on the same page in that this isn’t one of those franchises where we keep pumping them out if they make money. ” A Quiet Place Part II also stars Millicent Simmonds, Okieriete Onaodowan, Wayne Duvall, and hits theaters on March 20. The sequel film was written and directed by John Krasinski and stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe, reprising their roles from the first film. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou also joined the cast. Krasinski also reprises his role from the first film in newly-filmed flashback sequences. Talks of a sequel began in April 2018 following the box office success of the first film. By the following August, Krasinski was writing the film, and he was hired in February 2019 to direct. Production took place in Western New York from June to September. Paramount Pictures plans to release A Quiet Place Part II in theaters on March 20, 2020. Synopsis [ edit] "Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path. " [1] Cast [ edit] Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott Millicent Simmonds as Regan Abbott, Lee and Evelyn's daughter and Marcus’s sister Noah Jupe as Marcus Abbott, Lee and Evelyn's son and Regan’s brother Cillian Murphy as Emmett [3] John Krasinski as Lee Abbott, Evelyn's deceased husband and Regan and Marcus's father [4] Murphy described his character Emmett, "For me, Emmett represents where the heart of the world lies right now, which is: finally feeling like they’ve all given up. Here comes this girl [Regan] who allows you to believe in more, and allows you to believe in yourself. That idea, I’ve always been really enthralled by. " [3] Production [ edit] Paramount Pictures produced the first film, A Quiet Place, on a budget of $17 million. [5] Paramount released the film in the United States and Canada in April 2018 and grossed $50. 2 million on opening weekend, well above a mid-$20 million forecast. Later in April, Paramount Chair and CEO Jim Gianopulos announced that a sequel was in development. The first film ultimately grossed $188 million in the US and Canada and $340. 9 million worldwide. [6] John Krasinski, who co-wrote, directed and starred in the first film, said he considered it "as a one-off" but that with the sequel planned, he started considering the larger fictional universe to explore possibilities. [7] The first film's screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods did not return for the sequel; Woods said they were not interested in a franchise approach and that they would rather try "to create original ideas" and used their writing credits to instead use "as an opportunity to push several projects". [8] Beck said, "Instead of focusing on sequels per se, it's about investing back into the ecosystem of original ideas in a massive marketplace. " [9] In August, Krasinski was writing the film, and a director had not been hired yet. [10] According to Krasinski, Paramount rejected pitches from other writers and directors that were considered too franchise-oriented, and the studio invited him to write a script based on his "tiny idea that fit that world and could be exciting". [11] Cinematographer Polly Morgan described the sequel's approach, "It's more about the children growing up, exploring the world and learning to protect themselves. " [12] By February of 2019, Krasinski was hired to direct the sequel, and actors Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe were confirmed to reprise their roles. [13] In March, Cillian Murphy joined the cast. [14] In the following June, Brian Tyree Henry joined the cast, [15] but he left the film due to scheduling problems. He was replaced by Djimon Hounsou in August. [16] In June, production began on the sequel. [17] Filming officially commenced on July 15, 2019. [18] Filming took place throughout Western New York. [19] Locations included Erie County and one of its villages, Akron. Other locations included the city of North Tonawanda and the hamlet of Olcott in Niagara County, [20] and Barcelona Harbor in the town of Westfield in Chautauqua County. [21] Filming also took place on a sound stage in Buffalo, New York. One of the last filming locations, the northbound South Grand Island Bridge, was shut down for 13 hours for filming. [22] The production invested over $10 million in Upstate New York, created 400 hires, and involved 300 background actors. [23] By late September, production was finished. [24] Release [ edit] Paramount Pictures plans to release A Quiet Place Part II in theaters, including Dolby Cinema and IMAX, in the United States and Canada on March 20, 2020. [1] It initially planned to release the film on May 15, 2020. [25] BoxOffice forecast in January 2020 that the film would gross $72 million on its opening weekend. It based the forecast on the first film's success on its own opening weekend ( $50. 2 million) and in the long run, the sequel's early social metrics being strong, and the continued involvement of Emily Blunt and John Krasinski. BoxOffice said the sequel's opening-weekend gross could be negatively impacted by its trailer's indication of having more dialogue and action than the first film. It also said the sequel would be competing with Mulan and No Time to Die around the time of its release. We’re inching toward A Quiet Place: Part II ‘s March 20th premiere, and Paramount has released another look at the horror sequel. Directed by John Krasinski, the film continues the story of the Abbott family as they enlist help from a mysterious stranger ( Cillian Murphy) in a world still overrun with monsters that kill at the slightest sound. A Quiet Place: Part II might be the most intriguing movie of this early-2020 season. All the new footage looks great; Emily Blunt blasting aliens in the face with a shotgun will most likely never get old, and it looks like we’ll be diving into flashbacks that explain just how the world ended up this way. (There’s a quick shot of some of the monsters just thrashing a family picnic to pieces, which isn’t ideal. ) But the first film had such a solid, self-contained premise that my only worry is a sequel is just putting a horror hat on a hat. The jury is still out on whether continuing this story adds or subtracts from the simple thrills of A Quiet Place. Check out the new trailer below. A Quiet Place: Part II hits theaters on March 20. For more on the film, check out the Super Bowl trailer—featuring a surprise appearance by Krasinski— right here. I really appreciate the depth in these videos. The problem with a lot of right-wing propaganda is that I know it's bad so I ignore it, but ignoring it means I don't always understand why people buy it in the first place. With this video, you can clearly see the tricks she uses to seem like a grassroots journalists as well as all the misinformation, lies, cherrypicking, anecdotes, and omissions she uses to make her racist talking points seem legitimate. Here's hoping wide-eyes viewers of the future will see this video next to hers and understand her propaganda for what it is.

José Gender predominantly masculine Origin Word/name Latin: Iosephus, Greek: Ιωσήφ, Hebrew: יוֹסֵף Other names Related names Joseph, Xosé, Josefo, Josetxu or Josetxo (given name in Basque). Feminine forms: Josefa, Josée. José is a predominantly Spanish and Portuguese form of the given name Joseph. While spelled alike, this name is pronounced differently in each language: in Spanish [xoˈse], and in Portuguese [ʒuˈzɛ] (or [ʒoˈzɛ]). In French, the name José, pronounced [ʒoˈze], is an old vernacular form of Joseph, which is also in current usage as a given name. José is also commonly used as part of masculine name composites, such as José Manuel, José Maria or Antonio José, and also in female name composites like Maria José or Marie-José. The feminine written form is Josée as in French. In Netherlandic Dutch however, José is a feminine given name, and is pronounced [ˈjoːseː]; it may occur as part of name composites like Marie-José or as a feminine first name in its own right; it can also be short for the name Josina and even a Dutch hypocorism [1] of the name Johanna. In England, Jose is originally a Romano-Celtic surname, and people with this family name can usually be found in, or traced to, the English county of Cornwall, where it was especially frequent during the fourteenth century; this surname is pronounced, as in the English names Jose ph or Jose phine. [2] According to another interpretation Jose is cognate with Joyce; Joyce is an English and Irish surname derived from the Breton personal name Iodoc which was introduced to England by the Normans in the form Josse. In medieval England the name was occasionally borne by women but more commonly by men; the variant surname Jose is local to Devon and Cornwall. [3] The common spelling of this given name in different languages is a case of interlingual homography. Similar cases occur in English given names (Albert, Bertrand, Christine, Daniel, Eric, Ferdinand) that are not exclusive to the English language, and which can be found namely in French with a different pronunciation under exactly the same spelling. Spanish pronunciation [ edit] English speakers tend to approximate the Spanish pronunciation [xoˈse] as; with a [z] rather than with an [s] sound. In Castilian Spanish, the initial ⟨J⟩ is similar to the German ⟨ch⟩ in the name Bach and Scottish Gaelic and Irish ⟨ch⟩ in loch, though Spanish ⟨j⟩ varies by dialect. Historically, the modern pronunciation of the name José in Spanish is the result of the phonological history of Spanish coronal fricatives since the fifteenth century, when it departed from Old Spanish. Unlike today's pronunciation of this name, in Old Spanish the initial ⟨J⟩ was a voiced postalveolar fricative (as the sound " je " in French), and the middle ⟨s⟩ stood for a voiced apicoalveolar fricative /z̺/ (as in the Castilian pronunciation of the word mismo). The sounds, from a total of seven sibilants once shared by medieval Ibero-Romance languages, were partly preserved in Catalan, Galician, and Occitan, and have survived integrally in Mirandese and in the dialects of northern Portugal. In those regions of north-western Spain where the Galician language is spoken, the name is spelt Xosé and pronounced [ʃo'se]. Portuguese pronunciation [ edit] People with the Portuguese given name José [ʒuˈzɛ] usually have their name pronounced by English speakers approximately as " joe say ", which is frequently heard in news media. Examples of this are for instance former President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso and football coach José Mourinho, whose names are commonly pronounced with some degree of precision by world media CNN and BBC by resorting to English sounds (i. e. " Joseph " without the " ph ", often sounding like " zhoo- ZAY "). [4] Historically, the conventional Portuguese spelling of the name was Joseph, just as in English, though variants like Jozeph were not uncommon. [5] [6] Following the 1910 revolution, the Portuguese spelling was modernized. The first Reform of Portuguese orthography of 1911 elided the final mute consonants ⟨ph⟩ and ⟨th⟩ from Biblical anthroponyms and toponyms (e. g. Joseph, Nazareth) and replaced them with the diacritic on the final ⟨é⟩, indicating the stress vowel (e. José, Nazaré). In Portuguese, the pronunciation of vowels varies substantially depending on the country, regional dialect or social identity of the speaker: in the case of the ⟨o⟩ ranging from /u/ to /o/; and in the case of ⟨é⟩, from /e/ to /ɛ/. The Portuguese phonology developed originally from thirteenth-century Galician-Portuguese, having a number of speakers worldwide that is currently larger than French, Italian and German. In Portuguese the pronunciation of the graphemes ⟨J⟩ and ⟨s⟩ is in fact phonetically the same as in French, where the name José also exists and the pronunciation is similar, aside from obvious vowel variation and language-specific intonation. French vernacular form [ edit] The French given name José, pronounced [ʒoˈze], is an old vernacular form of the French name Joseph, and is also popular under the feminine form Josée. The masculine form is current as a given name, or as short for Joseph as is the case of French politician José Bové. The same masculine form is also commonly used as part of feminine name composites, as is the case of French athlete Marie-José Pérec. In turn, the feminine form Josée is only used customarily either as a feminine first name or as part of a feminine name composite, with respective examples in French film director Josée Dayan and Canadian actress Marie-Josée Croze. Jewish use [ edit] A number of prominent Jewish men, including sportsmen, entertainers and historical figures, are known publicly as Joseph or Jose, another form of Yossi (Hebrew: יֹוסִי), and a diminutive of Yosef or Yossef (Hebrew: יוֹסֵף). Feminine form [ edit] Both the Spanish and Portuguese feminine written forms of the name are Josefa, pronounced [xoˈsefa] in Spanish, and [ʒuˈzɛfɐ] in Portuguese. The name José also occurs in feminine name composites (e. Maria José, Marie-José). Josée is a French feminine first name, pronounced [ʒoˈze], relates to the longer feminine form of Joséphine [ʒo'ze'fin], and may also be coupled with other names in feminine name composites. Similarly, in Flemish, José is a male given name, for which the feminine written form is Josée, with both forms being pronounced [ˈioːˌse], but the spelling stems originally from neighboring French-speaking influence. In Dutch, however, José is pronounced [ˈioʊˌseɪ], which is a feminine given name in its own right, sometimes also used as short for the feminine name Josina. Examples are Olympic swimmer José Damen and pop singer José Hoebee. Josephine and Joséphine are in use in English-speaking countries, while Josefine is popular in Western Europe. Diminutives [ edit] One of the common Spanish diminutives of the name is Pepe, which is a repetition of the last syllable of the earlier form Josep. [7] (Popular belief attributes the origin of Pepe to the abbreviation of pater putativus, P. P., recalling the role of St Joseph in predominantly Catholic Spanish-speaking countries. ) In Hispanic America, the diminutives Cheché and Chepe also occur, as in Colombian soccer player José Eugenio ("Cheché") Hernández and Mexican soccer player José ("Chepe") Naranjo. In Portuguese, the most widely used diminutive form of the name is Zé, and less used forms include Zeca, Zezé, Zezinho, Zuca, and Juca. The augmentative of the diminutive may occur as in Zezão, as well as the diminutive of the diminutive Zequinha, Zezinho, Josesito. I have always held Murphy as an icon. Candice Bergen is amazing. Sure season 11 wasn't as good as it could have been but I still loved having one last outing with my old friends. I hadn't really intended watching the full 75 minutes but before I knew it I was nearing the end. This was outstanding. I got a bit weepy through some of it. Watch Online josef. 2020 / An American expat tries to sell off his highly profitable marijuana empire in London, triggering plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him / casts - Matthew McConaughey / score - 28478 Vote / Writed by - Ivan Atkinson, Guy Ritchie / USA. JACKIE BOY. Geezus Khrist. This looks like it's played more for laughs rather than drama like the original. Went to a New Years day performance, best film of 2020 so far for me.
The film combined London gangsters, London Youth, wealthy aristocratic types and even asian gangsters seamlessly.
The pacing was outstanding, characters interesting and story competent.
Go and support this film.

Pasaran los años y Hugh Grant, hermoso como siempre❤. Finally watched the trailer on January -23rd feels like bond is back. How did Josh Whedon get into my sleep paralysis nightmares. Plot twist Ritchie is actually a part of the royal family #silverspoon. Cool Guy Richie makes his film again. Woof. That movie looks great. Excellent cast and a good plot Made for an enjoyable movie
Didn't really need all the swear words. The Irishmen The King's Man The Gentlemen The Common Men. Come on man. So queen's drummer got a decent part time job as deadpool's sidekick, huh.

This is the most guy Ritchie ever to be directed but guy Ritchie go watch it and have nice time and last but not least
HAPPY NEW YEAR. Was a bit formulaic (eg out of sequence storytelling, fake outs" no, that scene didn't go exactly as you first saw it) loud catchy music, and plot twists (eg Antagonist had a Plan B and C but the protagonist has eyes on the back of his head. Maybe I am being too harsh, but, I did say it was a very good movie and gave it an 8.

I've just came back from watching this movie now I want to hit 7000rpm.

I remember Downtown Abbey. New Doom movie looks like absolute shit. Shoulda left it at the 2005 movie with The Rock. Am I the only one who absolutely loved this movie. This movie is amazing. What happens in the submarine stays in the submarine. lol.

Producers: how many scenes of you driving the motorcycle do you want us to use

Any movie is better than Resident Evil The Final Chapter. It takes a while to shake off the stank of the Madonna. I love how in the UK, January is like when all the movies come out. Coach Carter. The way back Come at me keyboard warriors. This will be an amazing movie. I can tell.

Based on this trailer, this American remake completely got the tone wrong. The comedy in the original is a lot more subtle and focuses on awkwardness. This movie seems way more cookie-cutter and bland. Intresting... The movie even get nominated for Academy awards. Ben may nominated for acting for the first time. Got BGM? newmusic IG - bynamgungssi. Looks like a good movie. Barely could tell that was Hugh Grant. Was waiting for Rob Schneider to pop out halfway through. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant. It follows an American marijuana kingpin in England who is looking to sell his company, setting off a chain of blackmail and schemes to undermine him. The Gentlemen premiered at the Curzon Mayfair Cinema on December 3, 2019, [4] and was theatrically released in the United Kingdom on January 1, 2020 and in the United States on January 24, 2020, by STXfilms. It received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed $48 million worldwide. Plot [ edit] Big Dave, editor of the Daily Print tabloid, is snubbed by cannabis baron Mickey Pearson at a party and hires private investigator Fletcher to investigate Pearson's links to Lord Pressfield, a minor Royal with a heroin-addicted daughter. Fletcher offers to sell his findings (typed up as a screenplay entitled Bush) to Pearson's right-hand man Raymond for £20 million. Born in poverty in the US, Pearson won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University, where he began selling marijuana to privileged fellow students before dropping out and building his empire by violence. He plans to sell his business to American billionaire Matthew Berger for $400 million so he can retire peacefully with his wife Rosalind. Pearson shows Berger one of the labs where he grows his cannabis under the estates of aristocratic landlords, who need cash for the upkeep of their stately homes. Pearson is later approached by Dry Eye, an underboss for Chinese gangster Lord George. Dry Eye offers to buy out Pearson's business, but he refuses. Pearson's lab is then raided by amateur boxers who film their encounter defeating the lab's guards and stealing the marijuana before uploading it online as a rap video. The boxers' coach later orders them to delete the video. Pearson begins transferring his cannabis-growing out of the estates. He also agrees to bring home Pressfield's wayward daughter Laura. Raymond retrieves Laura, however, in a brawl with her room-mates one of Raymond's men accidentally pushes Aslan, a young Russian man, out of the window to his death. Laura later dies of a heroin overdose. Coach visits Raymond, apologizes for his students' actions, and offers his services as penance. Coach has captured Phuc, a henchman of Dry Eye's who had informed Coach's crew about the lab location, although Phuc is accidentally killed during a botched escape attempt. Pearson threatens Lord George for going after his lab, and destroys one of his heroin labs in retaliation. George chastises Dry Eye for his insubordination in attacking Pearson and offering to buy him out; George nods to a henchman to execute Dry Eye, but the man executes George instead. Unknown to Pearson, Dry Eye is in league with Berger, who had wanted Pearson's business disrupted to reduce the price. Dry Eye has taken Lord George's place and still hopes to take Pearson's empire for himself. Dry Eye tries to kidnap Rosalind, who kills Dry Eye's men before she runs out of bullets in her 2-shot derringer. Raymond kills an assassin sent to kill Pearson; the two rush to Rosalind and Pearson kills Dry Eye as he is about to rape Rosalind. Fletcher ends his story and Raymond orders him to leave his house. Fletcher has merely confirmed Pearson's suspicions about the link between Dry Eye and Berger. Raymond orders Coach's students to capture Big Dave. They drug him and film him having sex with a pig, threatening to post it online unless he drops his investigation. Pearson and Berger meet up again in a frozen fish plant, actually a cover for Pearson's European distribution operation. Berger drops his offer to $130 million, but Pearson reveals his knowledge of Berger's plan, shows him Dry Eye's frozen body and tells him he is keeping his business. Pearson forces Berger inside a refrigerator, where he will freeze to death unless he transfers $270 million compensation and, for the assault on Rosalind, cuts "a pound of flesh" from his own body. Fletcher approaches Raymond again for his payment, but Raymond reveals that he was tailing Fletcher all along. The boxers have stolen his stashes of evidence after Raymond placed a tracker on him during their last encounter. Fletcher reveals that he has also sold info to Aslan's father, a Russian oligarch and former KGB agent. The assassin that Raymond earlier killed was one of the Russians. Coach kills two Russian hitmen sent to kill Raymond, while Fletcher escapes in the chaos. Pearson is kidnapped by two other Russians, but they are quickly ambushed by Coach's students who want to "solve Coach's problem". They assault the car with bullets, killing the Russians and allowing Pearson to escape. Later, Fletcher decides to pitch the story as a film to Miramax. After his meeting, he gets into a cab only to realize that Raymond is the driver. Upon learning of Fletcher's capture, Pearson and Rosalind return to their cannabis empire and celebrate in each other's company. Cast [ edit] Production [ edit] It was announced in May 2018 that Guy Ritchie would direct and write a film that would be in the same spirit as Ritchie's earlier films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. The project was unveiled at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, where Miramax acquired the distribution rights. [5] [6] Filming was expected to begin in October. [7] In October, Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale, Henry Golding and Hugh Grant were cast, [8] [9] with Jeremy Strong, Jason Wong and Colin Farrell joining in November. Michelle Dockery also signed on, replacing Beckinsale in her role. [10] [11] [12] In December 2018, Lyne Renée was added as well. [13] Principal photography began in November 2018. [14] Filming locations included West London Film Studios and The Princess Victoria pub in Shepherd's Bush. [ citation needed] Release [ edit] In February 2019, STX Entertainment acquired distribution rights to the film for $7 million. [15] The film had its world premiere as a VIP special screening at Curzon Mayfair on 3 December 2019. [16] It was theatrically released in the UK on 1 January 2020 and in the US on 24 January 2020. [17] The studio spent around $25 million on promoting the film. [18] Reception [ edit] Box office [ edit] As of February 2, 2020, The Gentlemen has grossed $20. 4 million in the United States and Canada, and $28 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $48. 4 million. [3] In the United States and Canada, the film was released alongside The Turning, and was projected to gross around $10 million from 2, 100 theaters in its opening weekend. [19] The film made $3. 1 million on its first day, including $725, 000 from Thursday night previews. It went on to debut to $10. 6 million, finishing fourth at the box office. [18] Critical response [ edit] On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 73% based on 211 reviews, with an average rating of 6. 35/10. The website's critics consensus reads: "It may not win writer-director Guy Ritchie many new converts, but for those already attuned to the filmmaker's brash wavelength, The Gentlemen stands tall. " [20] On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score 51 out of 100, based on 44 critics, indicating "mixed or average reviews. " [21] Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of "B+" on an A+ to F scale, while PostTrak reported an average 3. 5 out of 5 stars, with 48% of people saying they would definitely recommend it. [18] Writing for Entertainment Weekly, Leah Greenblatt rated the film with a "B-" and found the film to come up short when compared to Ritchie's previous crime films, stating, " The Gentlemen is nothing if not a callback to the Locks ( Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) of yesteryear, star-stacked and defibrillated with enough juice to jolt a gorilla out of cardiac arrest. " [22] Some reviews perceived the film as anti-Semitic, racist, homophobic and sexist on account of its portrayals of characters that fit stereotypes. [23] [24] [25] The Independent described it as "an equal opportunity offender" in its targeting of a multitude of minorities from Jews to East-Asians. [26] References [ edit] ^ "The Gentlemen (18)". I'm pretty sure that the term is teachable moment not teaching moment. Otherwise, this looks great.

Blood on her name trailer deutsch. Blood on her name deutsch. Its murdoc yeahhhhh. Posted on Friday, February 21st, 2020 by Matthew Pope ’s Blood On Her Name is a blue-collar revenge thriller with one helluva hard nose compared to other glamorized action spectacles where consequences don’t matter. It’s homestyle, nasty survival storytelling rooted with family at its core and despair weighing heavy on the viewer’s chest. Jeremy Saulnier comparisons are apt, even if the brutality isn’t as gruesome. I was lucky enough to catch the film at last year’s Fantasia International Film Festival where Pope’s title played to much acclaim, including my full review that praises everything from the film’s unwashable grime to Bethany Anne Lind ’s pain-stricken performance. Today on /Film, we have an exclusive clip that gives you a taste of the kind of cyclical backwoods gut-punchery that awaits Lind’s independent mother. Blood on Her Name Clip What’s revealed is no spoiler, as the body Leigh Tiller (Lind) can be seen transporting turns up early within the film. A woman fending for herself left alone by a deadbeat criminal husband, now embroiled in a small-town catastrophe spread by townsfolk whispers. Leigh’s son Ryan ( Jared Ivers) is on parole, her father Richard ( Will Patton) is the town’s local lawman, and her decision could doom their family name. By decision, of course, I refer to her fit of self-defense that produces the film’s problem corpse. It’s about the transformation that Lind undergoes or lack thereof depending on your perspective. The way Pope nullifies our cinematic definitions of “good” and “evil” suggests that existence is far more complicated. Every character finds themselves propelled by motivations brought upon by another’s actions, all swirling together in this heartbreaking narrative about how it can feel like there’s no escaping circumstantial fate despite fighting tooth-and-nail. Lind the proverbial eye of this no-luck hurricane that leaves a battered and bashed trail in its wake. Blood On Her Name will be released on February 28, 2020, both in select theaters and available on VOD platforms. It’s my polite suggestion that you make this greasy-spoon slice of redemption a priority for the right movie night. Check out the full synopsis below: The dead body lies at her feet, its blood still draining onto the floor. It was an accident, borne of self-defense, but its discovery could have devastating consequences for local garage owner Leigh Tiller and her son. In a panic, Leigh decides to conceal the crime, cleaning the bloody scene and scrambling to dispose of the body. But can she actually disappear a man from the earth— from his family— leaving them forever wondering? As Leigh is torn between her primal instincts and tortured conscience she struggles to keep her sins hidden from her estranged father– a cop with a long history of moral compromise — and from the keen-eyed girlfriend of the deceased. Blood On Her Name is a character-driven thriller that explores questions of guilt, moral identity, and the irrevocability of choices in the direst circumstances. Cool Posts From Around the Web:.
